Two teams from the University of Chalmers, Gothenburg, have received 61 million Swedish crowns from the SSF (Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research) for IT and data security research. Dr. Alejandro Russo, Coordinator of the Area of Information Technology in the Network of Argentine Scientists in Sweden, is a leader in one of these research teams and co-applicant in the other. One of the projects called "Securing Web‐driven Systems" in which Dr. Russo participates as co-applicant, received 3.72 million USD. The other project of the Argentine scientist entitled "Secure Programming for the Internet of Things" received funding for the sum of 3.84 million USD. The project in which Dr. Alejandro Russo deals with different internet devices, which are increasingly used in key social infrastructures, such as factories, hospitals, transport systems, smart homes and electrical networks.
